SCC dismisses leave to appeal application in Coombs – collateral attack on Tax Court decision.

Précis: The Supreme Court of Canada on April 2, 2015 denied the Crown’s application for leave to appeal the decision of the Federal Court of Appeal in Coombs v. Canada (October 7, 2014 – 2014 FCA 222).

That decision upheld a decision of the Federal Court which struck an application for judicial review on the basis that it was frivolous, vexatious, and an abuse of process and a collateral attack on an earlier decision of the Tax Court.
